Visual identity for NU HIER
NU HIER (now here) is an initiative that links vacant sites with users from the neighbourhood, schools, clubs, corporations, and associations. Their cooperation and combined entrepreneurship is the engine behind what in this case is a project on the periphery of the centre of Rotterdam. After a party centre went up in smoke, this vacant site awaits a new function, so building ground is reclaimed, if only for a time, as public space.
The typeface and programme icons for NU HIER are made of barricade tape. Instead of using the tape for demarcations, the tape is cut up to form letters and illustrations.
