Dianne Rijnbende is a graphic designer based in Amsterdam. She has a background in philosophy and graphic design. Dianne’s approach involves both close collaboration with her clients and extensive research into the matter she is designing. Her work is characterised by conceptually strong designs in which typography plays a central role. This results in experimental and coherent visual identities, books, posters, magazines, websites and animations for cultural institutions and businesses.

In addition to her work as a graphic designer, Dianne is one of the founders of Alinea uitgevers (together with Lizette van Boom), publisher of philosophical books that invite reflection on contemporary society.

In 2017, she developed and participated in Letters and Ideas for Extrapool. By bringing together (typographic) designers and language philosophers,
the project explored language as the interface between graphic design and philosophy. One of the three resulting publications can be viewed here.

In 2015, Dianne developed and taught the course Design and Philosophy for ArtEz Academy of Arts.
